An Epiphany of a Designer

Ever encountered writer's block? Well, I was facing something similar except mine was a designer's block. 

A designer’s creativity is like a pendulum; some days you’ll feel inspired and productive while other days can be frustrating. They’ll have you questioning whether you were ever meant to be a designer at all. The 2nd scenario was what I was going through during the 3rd quarter of 2019. I felt lost and uninspired. I did not have any clue of what my next design should be. 

Beginning 2020, we at Dazz were faced with the most difficult time that we may have ever encountered with the outbreak of COVID-19 becoming a global pandemic, it has affected all businesses especially small enterprises like us which resulted in drastic decline in sales.

Initially, I was really demotivated and didn't know how to move forward. One day, during a conversation with a friend, I had a breakthrough, took on some of his advice with regards to the 'new normal' lifestyle. This inspired me to design again and not just to design something ordinary but something functional which can help people cope with their new normal working lives. 

This quote resonates with my soul, 'You may not control all events that happen to you but you can decide not to be reduced by them - Maya Angelou'. I believe this has brought me out of the rut I was in and I am looking forward to sharing this design with the world as it epitomize the trials and tribulations one has gone through during a pandemic, a product of NEVER GIVING UP!
